where it all began

  1. i feel like I am cheating a bit this week since I just posted this picture on the other blog, but oh well.
It is New Year and a time for new beginnings and this is a picture from a hill we hiked in the spring looking out onto the valley that i nannied it that first summer here. the little village in the right of the picture is killearn.

i love new year and setting goals. i just love any excuse to set goals really. i had lots of felt left over from the stockings that we made and so i made a headband last night. i had been wanting to make a felt headband for ages. and then while i was thinking about it i saw one from lou and lee ( if you dont know the shop, look them up on etsy). it seems like any idea that comes into my mind has already been done, oh well, i just want to make them for me and friends anyway!

  2. Whenever I think about setting goals I always think of you! I always remember how much you loved writing down goals. You gave me a little bit of that love for it too. I really do enjoy writing down goals for the upcoming year. I've had so many running through my head that I want to accomplish this year, but I've been a little hesitant to write any of them down. I guess I better do it soon before they just turn into wishes (do you remember that saying, "a goal is only a wish until it is written down"). Anyhow thanks for the motivation and passion to be a goal oriented person.

I feel the same way about creative ideas. I think I've come up with something really good, and then I turn around and someone else has already done it, and have done it better than I probably would. Anyhow, I like your optimism with it. I've been feeling a little overwhelmed and discouraged with my business. I let fear and feelings of inadequacy keep me from doing all that I deep down really wanna do. It's hard to explain, but at least I'm not giving up because of it. Anyhow, keep being creative. I'd love to see some of the things you've been making. I should go check out your other blog!
